Nashville Travel Guide: Where To Stay & What To Do

It’s no secret that Nashville is one of my all time favorite cities EVER! There’s just something about live music, great food and incredible hospitality that brings me back every year. One of my most requested blog posts was a Nashville roundup of where to stay and what to do. So I’ve FINALLY sat down to compile a list of my favorite hot spots + must dos!

WHERE TO STAY

When I say this has easily been MY FAVORITE hotel I’ve stayed at in Nashville, I mean it!! The Renaissance Nashville Hotel is located in the heart of the new 5th & Broadway shopping center and steps away from Broadway.

The hotel is filled with salutes to Music City’s most famous faces, and has a very vibey feel. Some of my favorite parts included:

  • Little Fib Restaurant - we enjoyed a yummy brunch here! Highly recommend the strawberry mimosa.

  • Bridge Bar - the BEST views overlooking downtown Nashville. Grab a happy hour drink here at sunset… you won’t regret it. Also loved the steak salad!

  • Nashville Music City themed rooms - the rooms were clean, tidy and made you feel like you were living the Nashville experience. Big fan of the comfy beds too!

  • Five Chords Mercantile Coffee Bar - having a coffee bar right at your fingertips was a huge plus when we needed a little pick me up.

  • Fun & flirty installations for photos - It wouldn’t be a proper Nashville trip if you didn’t document it! ;)

But the best part is honestly THE LOCATION!! Because The Renaissance Nashville Hotel is connected to the 5th & Broadway shopping center, you are literally feet away from so many hot spots! Walking out… you have endless places to check out including: Hattie B’s famous chicken, the Twelve Thirty Club, The Nash Collection shop, and STUDS! I would 1000% bring my family back to stay here!

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS & BARS

  1. The Hampton Social - my personal favorite hot spot for a drink with the gals! I would recommend getting a reservation to have brunch or dinner, but the rooftop is available for walk-ins. It’s filled with girly details and tons of photo opportunities. If you’re with a big group of friends, order the guitar! Otherwise, the white tea shooter and spicy margarita are to die for!

  2. Twelve Thirty Club - this bar/restaurant is owned by Justin Timberlake… Do I need to elaborate more? Good music, yummy small bites and the espresso martini is the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation for dinner. However, the rooftop is first come, first serve, and SO fun during the day!

  3. White Limozeen - A must for my Dolly Parton fans! Fun drinks and a great atmosphere.

  4. LA Jackson Bar - Located in the Gulch, this bar overlooks the entire surrounding Nashville area. Love a good happy hour here (and always see Nashville celebs).

  5. Frothy Monkey - The best coffee you will EVER taste! Trust me, it’s worth a stop.

  6. Blanco - Yummy Mexican food located in the 5th & Broadway center. Love grabbing dinner here before a night out. Highly recommend the short rib bowl.

  7. The Stage - A personal favorite bar located on Broadway! Three levels of live country music just speaks to my soul! Saturday nights are always my favorite.

  8. STK - If you’re looking for a bougie dinner spot… you’ve found it! My mouth is watering just thinking about their truffle pasta and filet steak. Fabulous drinks, and steps away from great shopping!

OTHER MUST DOS

  1. Grand Ole Opry - The ICONIC Grand Ole Opry is truly special! I would recommend looking up who is playing while you’re in Nashville. Filled with tons of history, and always a highlight of our trip. Nothing beats live music in one of the most famous country music hot spots.

  2. Country Music Hall of Fame - If you’re a country music fan, this is a must! The Country Music Hall of Fame is walkable from Broadway, and one of the largest museums dedicated the preservation of American country music, with rotating exhibitions highlighting some of your favorite stars.

  3. Rustler Hat Co. - SO MUCH FUN! I finally had time to stop into Rustler (located in the Gulch), and customize my very own cowgirl hat. A little expensive, but when in Nashville… right?! Pick your hat, style, and color… and then customize it with ribbon, pins, your name… the list goes on! This was definitely a highlight of my trip, and the staff was super nice.

  4. Amelia’s Flower Truck - the original vintage mobile flower truck is home to local blooms where you can pick up a quick bouquet or create your own!

  5. The Gulch - Another great outdoor shopping center featuring tons of stores (Kittenish, Vici, etc…) and yummy restaurants!

Overall, if you’re thinking about visiting Nashville in the near future, do it!! I hope you find this little run down helpful. Xx
