The Valentine's Day Edit, Pt. Two - 5 Ways To Celebrate Your Galentine
Happy Tuesday Friends!
The hubby and I enjoyed a super fun weekend in Southern California. We couldn't BELIEVE how warm it was! I brought all sorts of cardigans and sweaters, and instead wore just about every dress I packed (not complaining). ANDDD anyone else watch the Super Bowl? It was such an exciting game! Since my Niners weren't playing this year, I didn't really care who won. BUT, I was secretly rooting for Nick Foles and the Eagles because he was the quarterback at The University of Arizona when I was there. I'm just ecstatic that it was a good game, and not a total snoozer!
Now, for all my babes out there who have a love/hate relationship with Valentine's Day...you know I couldn't forget about you! I am ALL about supporting the women in your life! Make sure to send them a note, and spread the love. We could all use a little extra of that these days! I put together a fun list of ideas to celebrate all of the beautiful friends, family and female acquaintances in your life. So, here we go...
#1. Send A Greetabl - This is probably one of the cutest ideas I have ever seen! Are you like me, and don't live close to your BFF? Don't worry, send one of these and she is sure to remember it forever! Pick a gift and a cute box to send it in, then customize the card with photos (that can be torn out like polaroids), add personal message, and waahlaah... they take care of the rest! You can check out a little YouTube video of it HERE.
#2. Get A Tattoo - Okay, but not a permanent one, HA! Balloon Time has created printable Valentine's Day themed TATTOOS, yes I said tattoos, that you stick to a balloon of your choice. Such a fun idea, and would be so cute to personalize and bring to a friend! Check out all the craze here.
#3. Host A Valentine's Day Themed Tea Party - My girl and fellow blogger babe, Ruthie Ridley of ruthieridleyblog.com, hosted the cutest traditional tea party for a bunch of local bloggers two weeks ago! It had everything from tea, to cookies, to biscuits... and finished with the prettiest details! She created personalized name cards that made each girl feel special. She also called on some local vendors to create a beautiful tables cape, including the stunning floral arrangements by Thistle and Honey! Also, a HUGE thank you to Sarah of Sarah Schweyer Photography, for the unbelievable photos capturing the event! Get your girls together from every part of your life and host a fun two hour extravaganza! I promise, you won't regret it, and everyone will appreciate you for introducing them to some great (and new) company!
#4. Create A Heart Shaped Photo Collage - Minted makes it super easy to pick an array of photos and have them made into a really cute framed heart-shaped collage. It's a little on the expensive side (an 8" x 8" goes for $42), but it's super high quality and will be sure to last a lifetime.
#5. Throw A Slumber Party - Single, don't care, and/or just not a fan of the traditional Valentine's Day hubbub? Don't worry! I got you covered... host a fun slumber party for your gal pals instead. I found the funniest DIY "Fries Before Guys" printable fries container that is sure to up your party game. With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I was super excited to share another fabulous V-Day inspired outfit! This eggplant jumpsuit from ASOS features the MOST flattering cutouts at the waist. I fell in looove with the feminine silhouette and ruffle details. It zips up the back and has a button closure at the neck for the perfect fit.
My first thought was to pair this jumpsuit with a metallic shoe, but opted for a fun red one instead. I thought it gave the look a little something extra, and was perfect in terms of the holiday! I have worn these under $100 red heeled mules before, and always receive so many compliments! If you didn't know already, I am SUPER self conscious about my kankles... I mean ankles, HA! The shape of these heeled mules really shows off the ankle beautifully, and makes the leg appear longer.
And finally, if you missed it, click here for a peek at my last Valentine's Day Edit featuring the sweetest lace midi skirt! You won't be disappointed. As always, reach out with any questions or comment below and I'll make sure to get back to you! Wishing you all a productive week!
